The quality of the fit
Just like laceless safety loafers, safety boots are difficult to put on. Indeed, with classic shoes, the laces allow for adjusting the upper over the instep. With a boot, this is not the case.
This is why the quality of the model's design is very important. The boot should not be too "restricted" so that the person can get their foot in. But on the contrary, it should not be too open, otherwise the foot is not properly supported. This leads to friction of the foot inside the boot, causing discomfort and also premature wear of the linings.
