Quick-release metatarsal protector
The metatarsal protector of the HERO S3 model ensures M-marking. This additional standard provides optimal metatarsal protection against impacts up to an energy of 100 joules.
The HERO S3 model is laceless and its flap closure system with hook-and-loop straps allows the user to quickly remove the shoe in an emergency, such as after a hot debris enters the shoe. In addition to the stitching, the metatarsal protector part is connected to the rest of the upper by two metal rivets. These are the only metallic elements of the shoe. Indeed, its toe cap is made of fiberglass, its anti-perforation sole is textile, and its metatarsal protection is plastic.
It can be useful to protect your metatarsals when constantly handling heavy objects.
